BISP New Installment: If your account still hasn’t received the children’s stipend, or you still haven’t received the current installment of Rs. 14,500, there is good news for you too. A lot of people are already receiving this cash, but many don’t know whether they’ll be eligible for the upcoming installment or not. The new September installment is going to be released very soon, and as already announced earlier, there’s an increase of Rs. 3,500—meaning this installment will now be Rs. 18,000 instead of Rs. 14,500, and it will be sent directly to your accounts.
Will You Receive the Installment While Sitting at Home?
The short answer is yes—but there are a few important updates you should know about regarding this payment.
- People whose SIM and wallet are already active have mostly had their issues resolved.
- People who still have problems with their SIM, account, or Matric verification may face difficulties in receiving the upcoming installment.
- Previously, if your thumb impression wasn’t matching, an alternative form was provided. After filling that form, you could withdraw your payment from the relevant bank.
- Going forward, you won’t even need to go through that process—easier solutions will be provided to resolve such issues.
Why Do You Still Need to Visit a Retailer Shop?
The new installment will be credited to your account, but to withdraw it, you will once again need to visit your nearest retailer shop and complete your Matric verification.
Many people ask: if the SIM and account are already set up, why are people still being sent to retailers again and again? The reason is simple—there is currently no system in place that allows people to complete their own verification and withdraw payments entirely from home. For this facility, you may need to wait anywhere from 10 days up to six months.

People who already got their SIM and had their accounts opened earlier will benefit the most once this facility becomes available.
A New Direct Payment System Is Coming
According to BISP Chairperson Rubina Khalid, in various interviews, a new system is being introduced with the following goals:
- No long queues or lines
- No middleman involved in the process
- Government sends the money directly to beneficiaries, who can withdraw it themselves
This would also eliminate the current token/queue-based system. Both the program and the government want this change, but reaching full nationwide launch will require going through several stages.
Stage 1: Personal SIMs for Beneficiaries (Completed)
BISP successfully completed the first stage, in which personal SIMs were issued to all beneficiaries. Now it’s entirely up to each beneficiary whether they want to withdraw the money or register the account in their own name. Most beneficiaries have already collected their payment through the wallet. Getting the SIM has now become mandatory, but it’s equally important to understand the terms and conditions that come after getting it.
Stage 2: Activating Linked Accounts
In the second stage, beneficiaries had to visit a retailer shop to activate their already-linked accounts. During this same process, the April–June installment was credited to their accounts. To withdraw that payment, beneficiaries again had to go to the retailer shop — and during the same verification visit, the wallet-related issue will also get resolved, meaning no extra separate trips will be needed.
Possible Future Facilities for BISP New Installment
The government is also considering providing more facilities once the Social Protection Wallet becomes active. However, there is currently no official confirmation regarding this.
Increase in Installment and Children’s Stipend
| Payment Type | Previous Amount | New Amount |
| Regular Installment | Rs. 14,500 | Rs. 18,000 |
| Children’s Stipend | — | Expected increase of Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,000 |
- The regular installment of Rs. 14,500 is being increased to Rs. 18,000.
- The children’s stipend is also expected to increase by Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,000. Even if the full Rs. 1,000 increase doesn’t happen, an increase of at least Rs. 500 is expected.
- Important: The children’s stipend will not be included with the Rs. 18,000 installment. It will be issued separately, based on the children’s three-month summer vacation period.
Kafalat Program Installment
The Kafalat Program installment may be released by the end of this month. However, to receive it, you must get your SIM and activate your account—otherwise, this installment could slip out of your hands, making it harder to claim later.
Deadline: You currently have time until August 28 to get your SIM and activate your Social Protection Wallet so that future installments continue to reach you smoothly.
SIM Facility: Track Your Payments via SMS
One useful facility of the SIM is that you receive an SMS at home informing you how much money has arrived in your account. After withdrawing the payment, another SMS confirms exactly how much amount was withdrawn.
- Previously, people had no way of knowing how much money arrived or how much was withdrawn.
- If the amount mentioned in the SMS doesn’t match the amount you actually received, it likely means a deduction has occurred.
- If the amounts match, there’s no issue.
- Important: Ignoring these SMS messages could result in a loss for you, so always check them carefully.
